Photoshop HW 1
Tutorial 1
This tutorial is interesting because it clearly and concisely covers some of Photoshop's major components. Move tool - move any project/element/layer. Selecion tool - used to select portion of picture. Lasso tool - makes custom selections. Quick selection tool - makes pre-determined selections based on image (use of plus and minus brushes to add or remove selection. Use "Q" to see selections). Spot healing brush tool - removes imperfections or other unwanted small objects. Clone stamp tool - uses image samples to add or remove elements to/from the image. Text tool - adds text.
Tutorial 2
This tutorial is helpful because it uses the tools in a more in-depth way. You can learn how to paint a selection using the quick selection tool. The temporary tool is also used, which allows you to temporarily switch between tools using key binds without having to take more time clicking the tools to switch between them. This tool seems tricky to use at first, but probably offers much more convenience with practice. The use of blank adjustment layers is also a quick and easy tool to use when making quick adjustments to the entire image.
Tutorial 3
I found this last tutorial to be helpful because it covers the basics of brightness and contrast, adjustment layers, the spot healing brush, changing a background color, creating a new project, and exporting your project, all within a relatively short video. The tutorial covers how to apply these tools to a single project, making it easy to follow along.
